About OUR FOUNDER
Welcome to ABA Shala – Centre for Children with Autism, a place where passion meets expertise in creating a supportive and inclusive environment for children with autism. I am Pragati Kawley, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and it has been a great learning journey that I would like to continue in support of these remarkable children.
With eight years of experience working directly with children on the autism spectrum, I have witnessed the transformative power of tailored support and individualized care through Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Therapy. It is my belief that every child deserves an opportunity to flourish and explore their full potential. It is this belief that propelled me towards a career in teaching and ultimately led me to extend my support to children with special needs.
During my time as a teacher, my interest in working with children with autism grew exponentially. I found myself drawn to the challenge of understanding their unique perspectives and developing strategies to facilitate their integration into society. My passion ignited a relentless pursuit of knowledge and expertise in behaviour analysis, culminating in an additional Master’s degree in the field.
Through ABA Shala, I aim to create a nurturing environment that allows these exceptional children to thrive on their strengths. My primary objective is not only to provide individualized interventions but also to raise awareness and foster acceptance about autism within our community. By celebrating the unique strengths and perspectives of all individuals, including those with autism, we can build a society that embraces diversity and inclusion.
At ABA Shala, we recognize that each child is as unique as a snowflake. Our comprehensive programs address the specific requirements of each individual, empowering them to develop vital life skills, enhance communication abilities, and foster social connections. ABA Shala utilizes the services of Dr. James C.K Porter for all clinical consultation and funding supervision requirements as Dr. Porter is on the OAP List.

Our Approach
ABA Shala provides state of the art applied behaviour analytic services to children and youth with Autism and other developmental disorders. We provide services across Greater Toronto Area including Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Mississauga. Our methods are derived from the principles of behaviour analysis and are established on evidence-based research to meet the unique needs of children and their families. We adapt a family centred approach and collaborate with other professionals to ensure best possible holistic care for our children. Our services are aimed towards building independence, confidence and dignity within the individuals to live their life to the fullest. Our Mission
