Student Placement
What You Will Be Doing
- Observing therapy sessions: you will have the opportunity to observe therapy sessions conducted by experienced professionals (BCBA). You will gain valuable insights into evidence-based intervention techniques and strategies used to support individuals with autism.
- Assisting in the creation of program materials: You will be actively involved in the development and preparation of program materials used in therapy sessions. This may include organizing and categorizing resources, creating visual supports, and adapting materials to meet the specific needs of individuals with autism.
- Supporting instructor therapists: You will work closely with instructor therapists, helping during therapy sessions. This may involve helping to implement behavior plans, following instructions from the BCBA, and providing support to individuals with autism as they engage in various activities and interventions.
- Adhering to professional standards.
By participating in this student placement, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, contribute to the well-being of individuals with autism, and further develop your skills in the field of Autism and Behavioural Science. Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Working towards a college diploma or degree in a related field.
- Passion for working with special needs individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with parents/guardians.
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills.

Hours: Full and Part-time hours available
